Athenahealth was acquired last November for $5.7 billion, securing its designation as the largest digital health transaction of 2018, according to a report from market research firm Mercom Capital Group. Private equity firm Veritas Capital and Evergreen Coast Capital, an affiliate of hedge fund Elliot Management, purchased Athenahealth.
Less than one year after its acquisition, Athenahealth has appointed the following four executives in 2019.
1. In May, the health IT software company named Bill Conway as its new chief sales officer to lead strategic execution efforts.
2. Simon Mouyal joined Athenahealth in August as chief marketing officer.
3. Paul Brient, former CEO at EHR software company PatientKeeper, was appointed chief product officer at Athenahealth in September.
4. Athenahealth announced Sept. 17 that Luis Borgen will lead the company’s finance organization as CFO.
