There were 223 mergers and acquisitions in the digital health sector during 2018, up from 203 of these transactions during 2017, according to the report. Eighteen companies participated in multiple M&A transactions during 2018.

2. Platinum Equity’s acquisition of LifeScan: $2.1 billion
3. Vista Equity Partners’ acquisition of MindBody: $1.9 billion
4. Roche’s acquisition of Flatiron Health: $1.9 billion
5. Inovalon’s acquisition of Ability Network: $1.2 billion
6. Veritas Capital’s acquisition of GE Healthcare’s value-based care business: $1 billion
7. 3M’s acquisition of M*Modal: $1 billion
