Las Vegas emergency facility implements Cerner EHR

Las Vegas-based ER at Blue Diamond, which is an extension of Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, recently deployed a Cerner EHR, local ABC affiliate KTNV reports.

ER at Blue Diamond is a freestanding emergency department that opened Sept. 30.

The facility will use Cerner's FirstNet EHR system, which is also compatible with Spring Valley Hospital as well as Paradise, Nev.-based Valley Health System facilities. Cerner's FirstNet EHR is designed specifically to help emergency departments treat larger patient populations and maintain quality standards.

With Cerner's EHR, ER at Blue Diamond patients will also be able to access their health information online via Cerner's patient portal.
