At least 25 dental offices supported by Pacific Dental Services will be opened in MemorialCare Medical Group locations throughout Orange and Los Angeles counties over the next five years. The collaboration was made possible through both organizations’ use of Epic EHRs, which will allow the medical and dental providers to view patients’ health histories in one place.
“Our partnership with Pacific Dental Services that achieved final implementation to their 900-plus dental practices earlier this year was a significant step forward in linking dental and medical professionals,” Epic founder and CEO Judy Faulkner said in a joint Dec. 12 news release from the dental support organization and MemorialCare. “We’re proud to be a part of extending that link to now include merging our software with dental and medical professionals under one roof.”
