The company’s InstaMed External Payment Page Integration enables Epic’s MyChart patient portal to collect credit card and bank account payments in real time. The solution helps healthcare organizations avoid keeping sensitive payment data on their servers.

The Epic App Orchard is an online marketplace for third-party developers to showcase pre-approved apps that run on Epic’s software infrastructure.

Boston Medical Center is the first hospital to leverage the InstaMed solution via the App Orchard. “BMC was specifically looking for a solution to enable secure patient payments for our Epic system. We evaluated a number of vendors and selected InstaMed as we felt they allowed us to deliver a simple and secure patient payment experience through multiple payment channels,” said Arthur Harvey, vice president and CIO of BMC.
