Epic approved Loopback Analytics' pharmacy analytics and workflow tools for its App Orchard, the company confirmed July 24.
Epic's App Orchard serves as an online marketplace for third-party developers to showcase pre-approved reporting, visualization and content apps that run on Epic's software infrastructure. Through the App Orchard, Epic's hospital clients can now access the Loopback Connector App to integrate EHR data with Loopback Analytics' pharmacy solutions.
Loopback Analytics offers analytics and workflow tools to help hospital pharmacies monitor how various activities affect their clinical and financial outcomes, such as medication adherence and cost of care. For example, it includes tools to help pharmacies manage specialty market share and coordinate home infusion therapy.
