CHI to deploy Epic EHRs across CHI Memorial market

Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives plans on implementing the Epic EHR system in all the facilities in its CHI Memorial market with assistance from CTG.

CTG is a provider of IT solutions and services. It will assist with the Epic system implementation at CHI Memorial hospitals, which includes two hospitals in Chattanooga, Tenn., CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia in Fort Oglethorpe and CHI Memorial-Parkway, a medical office in Ringgold, Ga.

The full go-live is slated for the second quarter of 2019. The implementation will allow all CHI Memorial locations to more easily and efficiently share information about mutual patients as well as reduce waste and identify care gaps.

"Due to the size and complexity of the implementation, CHI required a partner that could help them make the transition in phases with minimal disruption to their operations," said Robert Barras, vice president of sales, healthcare solutions at CTG. "In our early discussions with CHI, we recognized our shared vision around value-based care, and we are honored that they selected us for this critical initiative."
