Cerner adds secure messaging platform to EHRs

Cerner EHR users can now use PerfectServe’s messaging platform to send and receive secure messages within the EHR to other clinical members of a patient’s care team.

PerfectServe can be used both within and outside the Cerner EHR. The messaging platform aims to eliminate the clinician’s need to toggle between the EHR and other messaging applications.

PerfectServe’s platform supports patients’ protected health information to align with healthcare organizations’ HIPAA compliance strategies, according to the news release.
