For the report, KLAS Research spoke with hundreds of customers working at practices with 10 or fewer physicians to discuss their attitudes toward their EMR and practice management systems. The firm also interviewed representatives from more than 10 popular EMR and practice management vendors in the space to discuss how they plan to improve customer satisfaction.

The report also provided data on eMDs, which earned a 74.7 customer satisfaction rating. However, KLAS Research noted that the small number of respondents using these products in its sample prevented the firm from generalizing its findings.
