The nurse treated the 35-year-old male patient at around 5 p.m. Friday, according to court records. The records do not indicate why the man sought treatment.
The patient grabbed the nurse and pushed her against the wall in the ER’s triage section, where he groped her chest and rubbed his genitals on her. During the attack, the nurse attempted to push a panic alarm button but was unable to reach it because the man had restrained her.
The man is being charged with kidnapping and gross sexual imposition and was arrested at MetroHealth shortly after the incident. He is now in the Cuyahoga County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.
