Florida hospital makes $13.3M ER expansion

Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, Fla., completed phase one of a $13.3 million, three-phase emergency room expansion project, according to a WJHG report.

The ER increased its capacity from 31 to 44 beds, moved the ambulance entrance and increased staffing. Patients can expect to see decreased wait times.

Hospital officials plan to utilize local businesses to complete the next two phases.
