Vin Gupta, MD, has left his role as chief medical officer of Amazon Pharmacy, CNBC reported.

The move comes less than a month after Amazon One Medical CEO Trent Green said he would be departing the company.

Dr. Gupta joined professional services firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, while Mr. Green is leaving for data company NRC Health.

“We are grateful to Dr. Gupta for all of his contributions to Amazon Health Services and wish him the best in his next endeavor,” an Amazon spokesperson told CNBC in a statement for the March 26 story.

Amazon has been beefing up its pharmacy offerings since acquiring online pharmacy PillPack in 2018 for $753 million. The tech giant hired Dr. Gupta in 2020.
