Digital health company Babylon taps former White House health official as CMO 

Darshak Sanghavi, MD, former prevention and population health director at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, recently joined Babylon as the digital health company’s new global CMO.

Dr. Sanghavi will lead Babylon’s growing network of clinicians and clinical efforts as well as spearhead innovation initiatives as the company continues to expand across the U.S. Earlier this month, Babylon acquired Novato, Calif.-based Meritage Medical Network, a medical group with 700 physicians. 

Dr. Sanghavi most recently served as CMO of UnitedHealthcare in Minnetonka, Minn., and, before that, he was the first permanent director of prevention and population health for the Obama administration at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation.
