Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine will rename its Lake Forest Hospital following a donation.

The hospital will be renamed Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital, according to an Oct. 8 news release. The hospital is being renamed for Catherine Gratz Griffin, a former Lake Forest resident, following a gift from her son, Kenneth C. Griffin, founder and CEO of Citadel and founder of Griffin Catalyst.

Seamus Collins, president of the hospital, said in the release that the renaming recognizes Mr. Griffin’s gift and the family’s long-standing connection to the facility.
