Corona, Calif.-based Signature Health Services, a behavioral health system, is partnering with digital health company Videra.
Through the partnership, Videra will provide the health system with post-discharge artificial intelligence-powered video assessments. The technology can use video and voice analytics to predict when a patient requires further intervention, according to a Nov. 7 Videra news release.
Videra has already begun implementing the technology at Signature's Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital.
"Staffing shortages and the dramatic need for mental health care during the pandemic made it critical to utilize technology to improve follow-up care, achieve better outcomes, and meet our vitally important quality metrics," Signature Regional Vice President Jean Scallon said. "Videra's technology has already identified patients who need help and alerted our team to immediately follow-up with these patients. These crucial interventions would never have happened without the insight and automation of the Videra technology."
