Laboratories in the IMPAACT Network are studying and developing care standards for women, children and adolescents infected with HIV around the world.
The grant money will be used to provide scientific leadership and specialized lab testing infrastructure for labs in the network, according to the news release.
“Our work on optimizing the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection in these populations will benefit nations, communities and families throughout the world,” Dr. Aldrovandi said in the news release.
