Ventilator developer hit by ransomware attack

A ransomware gang has targeted COVID-19 ventilator manufacturer Boyce Technologies and is threatening to post their data online, according to an Aug. 7 Cointelegraph report.

The ransomware gang, DoppelPaymer, posted example files of the data stolen from Boyce Technologies during the attack, which includes sales and purchase orders and assignment forms, according to the report.

The cybercriminals have demanded the company pay an undisclosed crypto ransom or it will post Boyce Technologies' private information online.
