The diversion ended on the evening of Oct. 21. During that time, the hospitals, which are part of Valhalla, N.Y.-based WMC Health, remained open to walk-in patients. Emergency stroke patients will still be temporarily diverted to other hospitals, according to an Oct. 23 WMC Health news release.

The hospitals shut down their networks on Oct. 20 after discovering the attack. WMC Health is working with the FBI to determine the scope of the attack.
