The following are median sign-on bonuses for nine specialties in 2023. Two-thirds of newly recruited physicians received a sign-on bonus.

Psychiatry – general: $20,000
Emergency medicine: $18,000
Pediatrics – general: $15,000
Hospitalist – internal medicine: $12,500
Obstetrics/gynecology – general: $12,500
