The television station looked at 2015 salary data at Cleveland hospitals, and at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus and University of Toledo (Ohio) Medical Center.
The total compensation included bonuses for those who were eligible. Cleveland Clinic does not include bonuses in salaries.

Cleveland Clinic: $4 million
University Hospitals: $2.2 million
MetroHealth Systems: $1.1 million
Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center: $1.1 million
University of Toledo Medical Center: $800,000
