The health system’s statewide decision was made Jan. 10 in an effort to remain competitive. It affects more than 1,000 clinical and nonclinical employees and costs $3 million, according to the report.

IU Health Bloomington Hospital President and CEO Mark Moore said $11 per hour was a reasonable benchmark, adding entry level positions are equally as important as clinicians, according to the report.
