That’s according to the terms of a contract with Diversified Search approved Wednesday by the public hospital district’s board, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

Diversified Search, a national executive search firm based in Philadelphia, has been hired to find a replacement for Nabil El Sanadi, MD, who committed suicide last January.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, terms of a contract with Diversified Search propose a minimum retainer of $299,250, or 31.5 percent of the projected cash compensation of $950,000 for the successful candidate’s first year, including salary, bonus, signing bonus and any other incentives. Dr. El Sanadi’s salary was $675,000.

Pauline Grant, Broward Health’s interim CEO, told the Sun-Sentinel the salary was in line with the pay for CEOs of health systems of comparable size nationwide.
