Average weekly pay for 10 most in-demand travel nurse specialties

Labor and delivery travel nurses can earn close to $2,000 per week, making it the highest-paid travel nurse specialty, according to a report by Trusted Health, a nurse-staffing firm.

The report includes data from a review of more than 18,000 jobs in the U.S.

It lists the national average weekly pay for travel nurses in the top 10 most in-demand specialties:

• Labor and delivery nurses: $1,996
• Operating room nurses: $1,879
• Neonatal intensive care unit nurse: $1,834
• Post-anesthesia care unit nurse: $1,801
• ICU nurses: $1,796
• Emergency room nurses: $1,767
• Pediatrics nurse: $1,763
• Step-down unit nurse: $1,701
• Telemetry nurses: $1,687
• Medical-surgical nurses: $1,646
