Brentwood-based Ardent Health CEO Marty Bonick was paid 107 times more than the health system’s median employee in 2025, according to a proxy statement filed April 8 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. Bonick’s 2025 compensation was $6,090,004. The median employee compensation was $56,682, making the ratio of these amounts 107 to 1.
To identify the median compensated employee, the system used W-2 wages of employees who were with the system for the entirety of 2025 and the annualized value of total gross wages earned during 2025 for employees who joined the system during the year and were employed as of Dec. 31. The employee population consisted of full-time, part-time and temporary workers.
The SEC requires public companies to disclose how CEO pay compares to the median
employee’s overall compensation each year.
After Mr. Bonick, the highest-earners at Ardent in 2025 were CFO Alfred Lumsdaine and COO David Caspers. They earned $2,714,245 and $2,447,570, respectively.
