9 of Top 10 Highest-Paid L.A. Employees in 2009 Were Hospital Workers

Nine of the top 10 highest paid Los Angeles County employees in 2009 were hospital workers, according to an L.A. Times report.

The list was led by Harbor-UCLA Medical Center senior physician Elaine C. Yang, who earned $430,909 in 2009, according to data released in the Public Records Act.

The nine hospital employees included three chief physicians, three physician specialists and two medical directors, in addition to Ms. Yang. Ms. Yang earned a base salary of $280,626, as well as $91,137 in overtime earnings and $59,146 in other earnings.

All nine hospital employees earned over $365,000 a year.
