Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare has increased its organizational minimum wage to $19 an hour, effective Feb. 1.
The change marked a $1.46 increase and placed the system’s minimum wage nearly $12 above the federal minimum wage, according to a Feb. 2 health system news release. Employees will see the higher pay reflected in their Feb. 20 paychecks.
The wage increase followed broader workforce investments at Emory. Over the past two years, the system invested more than $270 million through increased salaries, the release said.
Additional employee benefits include approximately $20 million over two years to maintain affordable healthcare, with no premium increases for 2026 benefits, along with improvements to paid time off policies and annual evaluations of job grades and market trends.
