Scripps started offering hospice services in February after San Diego Hospice closed, according to a news release, and it is now one of the region’s largest hospice service providers.

“Scripps and HNC have entered discussions about joining forces to provide an even greater level of service to the community,” Chris Van Gorder, president and CEO of Scripps, said in the release.

“HNC looks forward to the possibility of working with Scripps,” Nerice Kaufman, executive director of HNC, said in the release. “We see synergies in combining our teams together to serve patients so it is prudent to investigate this option.”
