Regional Medical Center in Alabama Expands Rural Coverage With New Facilities

Anniston, Ala.-based Regional Medical Center is improving healthcare access for rural Alabamans with the opening of two new clinics, according to a report from the Anniston Star.

RMC has already opened a single-physician urgent care center in Piedmont, Ala., and it will open a slightly larger healthcare center in Roanoke, Ala. by the end of the month.

The clinics will be equipped to provide care to poor and elderly people, who make up much of a rural health clinic’s patient base, according to the report.
