Pfizer will offer the vaccine — which protects children against pneumonia, among other diseases — in a new multi-dose vial at the lowest prevailing global price of $3.10 per dose, according to the report.

The drugmaker will also donate all the money raised from sales of the vaccine throughout the first year of the initiative to humanitarian groups, according to a company statement.
