ED renovations include larger windows for natural light and two larger trauma rooms equipped with breakaway doors for more space. The ED also includes a vertical treatment room, which requires less space than traditional ED exam rooms and allows patients to stay in an upright posture while providers assess patients’ needs.

The 30-bed hospital increased the number of behavioral health rooms in the ED from two to four. Upgrades to the behavioral health rooms include specialized sinks and enclosed televisions to avoid safety issues.
