To date, HHS has provided $2.8 billion in funding to states — funds that were made available through the PPACA.
The $2.8 billion distributed to date includes grants to review insurer’s premium rates, develop state insurance exchanges, develop programs for chronic disease prevention in Medicaid patients and address state health workforce needs, among other initiatives.
