The hospital aims to make the triage process more efficient by remodeling the ED, officials told KCRG. They are encouraging patients who do not have life-threatening symptoms to seek care with their primary care physician or at the health system’s QuickCare walk-in clinics.

UIHC also offers UIeCare, where physicians provide virtual visits for patients with minor illnesses.
