A hospital in Croatia is the first European member of Cleveland Clinic Connected, a program that offers organizations access to Cleveland Clinic branding, consultative services and education opportunities.

The hospital, Radiochirurgia Zagreb, is a specialty hospital for early cancer diagnosis and treatment, according to an Aug. 11 news release. Since its founding in 2016, Radiochirurgia Zagreb has treated more than 10,000 patients, and its 90 medical professionals have analyzed more than 90,000 cases.

Cleveland Clinic created the network about three years ago to spread the health system’s “wealth of knowledge to enhance patient care, safety, and outcomes” at facilities around the world, according to its website

As a network member, Radiochirurgia Zagreb clinicians will be able to access education opportunities, best practices and protocols, and operational advisory services at Cleveland Clinic or through virtual learning. Physicians will also be able to request consultations of complex cases.

The network is composed of three U.S.-based institutions and three Vietnam hospitals.
