The pilot launched in April with Providence, R.I.-based Lifespan’s Women’s Medicine Collaborative as its first participant.
The program focuses on enabling primary care providers to manage patients with behavioral health conditions with clinical support from BCBSRI. The program will also analyze the transition of patients between a primary care provider and behavioral health provider, as well as the regularity of patient medication.
The venture seeks to improve patient experiences and outcomes through access to treatment during a behavioral health screening and a “high-touch” model.
