Baptist Memorial Health Care to Build $200M Hospital in Tennessee

Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp. is building a $200 million, 250-bed replacement hospital in Jonesboro, Tenn., according to a report in the Memphis Business Journal.

The existing hospital, NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital, is currently owned by Baptist and NEA Clinic, and both organizations will share the cost (60 percent/40 percent) of the new hospital, according to the report.

Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2010 and is expected to take 36 months.
