Doctors Hospital was shuttered in February 2010 as a result of financial difficulties and inability to recover after declaring bankruptcy.

Shreveport-based Willis-Knighton Health System purchased the facility two years ago for $650,000, according to the report, and invested $25 million in renovating it.

Former employees of Doctors Hospital walked through the newly renovated building Feb. 12, according to the report.
