Baylor Scott & White Health breaks ground on new medical center: 4 things to know

Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health broke ground Wednesday on its new medical center in Pflugerville, Texas, reports North Austin Patch.

Here are four things to know.

1. The site will contain a hospital and integrated multispecialty medical clinic, according to the report.

2. The area, designed to focus on healthy living, will house various programs and initiatives, including health and wellness seminars and nutrition classes.

3. An EHR system will be implemented through the hospital and clinic to prevent unnecessary medical tests and limit the amount of time patients must spend at the hospital.

4. The new medical center and clinic are set to open next year.
