The facility, expected to open in 2023, will house several practices, including cardiology, dermatology, oncology and ophthalmology.
“In order to survive, to be sustainable, to be relevant, to craft the future of healthcare, we’re going to have to invest,” Alan Kaplan, MD, CEO of UW Health, told the Wisconsin State Journal. “This is the right kind of investment.”
The new clinic will be UW Health’s third location for specialty care in Madison. It will free up space at UW Hospital, which has experienced space constraints in recent years due to increased patient demand.
UW Health officials expect to break ground on the project in 2020.
