Arlington-based Texas Health Resources has broken ground on a $343 million patient tower at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.
Construction on the new eight-story tower began Oct. 21, according to a media advisory shared with Becker’s. Four floors of the tower, which will include 96 beds, are slated to open in 2028.
The project will add about 200 beds to the hospital, which currently has 230 beds.
Three floors of shell space will allow for future expansion, according to the advisory.
A basement will connect the tower to existing service corridors and will house an expanded pharmacy department. The project also includes an upgraded emergency department.
