The four-story tower will be a women’s and children’s facility and will include a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. The NICU will house 10 beds and provide 24/7 service.
In addition to the tower, SwedishAmerican’s expansion project will increase the hospital’s number of behavioral and mental health beds by 30 percent, as well as create private inpatient rooms throughout the facility.
SwedishAmerican expects to create dozens of permanent healthcare positions as part of the expansion.
The tower is slated to open in 2020.
