Randall Children’s Hospital earns Level I pediatric trauma center status

The American College of Surgeons verified Portland, Ore.-based Randall Children’s Hospital as a Level I pediatric trauma center , according to KOIN.

Randall is the first children’s hospital in the Pacific Northwest to attain Level I verification.

To attain  Level I pediatric trauma center certification, hospitals must have pediatric specialists in neurosurgery, radiology, trauma surgery and critical care medicine available at all times.
