The facility contains five exam rooms with updated lighting, a large trauma bay with extra space to store equipment, a larger waiting room for patients and a portable cardiac monitoring system, according to the report.
The ED renovation is the first phase in Providence Medical Center’s $14 million hospital expansion project. The next phase of the plan is the renovation of the hospital’s B Wing to update and expand patient rooms.
The entire project is slated for completion in July 2018.
