OhioHealth committing $1B to expand flagship hospitals

Columbus-based OhioHealth is starting construction this year on $1 billion worth of projects focused on expanding its flagship hospitals’ presence in Columbus, Columbus Business First reported March 30.

The health system’s five-year project at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center will add a medical office building, outpatient care center, parking garage and a seven-story inpatient critical care facility. 

Additionally, the health system is looking to build a $600 million women’s care center at its OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital.te

The health system is not planning to dip into savings or issue debt for its Columbus projects.
