The unit will feature 12 beds and is expected to ease the strain of other units in other towns that have struggled to meet patient demand.
“We also looked at space, what we can do right now, because the emergency is now,” said Anne Thomas, MD, medical director of behavioral health at Bozeman Health. “We need the beds now.”
Renovation and staff recruitment are set to begin in 2022.
