Health system officials say the ER at the Mission Hospital for Advanced Medicine will house 97 beds, 13 more than originally thought.
“This hospital for advanced medicine will be state of the art, comparable to the best hospitals on the globe, and we’re really excited about getting it going,” said Mission Health President and CEO Ronald A. Paulus, MD, according to the report.
The hospital expansion, which is meant to replace Mission Health’s St. Joseph Hospital in Asheville, will also create 220 patient rooms.
