The hospital will be named the Marshfield Medical Center-River Region at Wisconsin Rapids, according to a May 25 Marshfield Clinic news release. It will have inpatient beds, emergency department exam and procedure rooms, radiological services and on-site lab testing.
The Wisconsin Rapids Center already provides urgent/walk-in care, family medicine, optometry, orthopedics, pediatrics, physical therapy, podiatry and nephrology.
The hospital is scheduled for completion in spring 2023. The Wisconsin Rapids facility will make up the health system’s River Region along with its new hospital in Stevens Point, Wis.
