HCA kicks off construction on $231M Florida hospital

Davie-based HCA Florida Healthcare, part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, has kicked off construction on its $231 million HCA Florida Gainesville (Fla.) Hospital.

The hospital and medical office building will comprise a surgical services department, 50 medical and surgical beds, a 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, a catheterization lab and imaging services, according to a May 8 HCA Florida Healthcare news release.

The facility will join the freestanding HCA Florida Gainesville Emergency facility, which opened in February. 

HCA Florida Gainesville Hospital will have more than 200 employees and is set to open in early 2026.
