The number of residents living in downtown Pittsburgh has jumped 25 percent to more than 15,000 in the last five years — sparking the demand for the medical center.

The 7,600-square-foot AHN Downtown Medical Center, open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., houses 16 exam rooms, X-ray services and space for women’s healthcare.  It also offers AHN’s executive health and wellness program and concierge-style program for local business leaders.

The medical center is part of AHN and Highmark’s commitment to invest $1.3 billion in new facilities throughout the region.
