Beaumont Hospitals in Michigan have received a $4 million donation from a couple to help fund the hospital’s new imaging and cancer centers, according to a Crain’s Detroit Business report.
Wayne and Joan Webber’s donation will help fund the Wayne and Joan Webber Imaging Center at Beaumont Medical Center in Macomb, Mich. The remainder will fund the Joan and Wayne Webber Cardiac Cancer Progressive Care Center at Beaumont’s campus in Troy, Mich.
Wayne Webber co-founded Champagne-Webber, a small concrete company, in 1963. It became W.W. Webber, a heavy highway construction contractor, and Mr. Webber sold the company in 2005. He continues to operate businesses in Michigan and Texas.
