The system will begin construction on an eight-story clinical tower, which is expected to be complete in 2025. One of the units to eventually be located in the new building will be a fetal care center, the only such facility in New England.

The new tower will be built adjacent to Connecticut Children’s existing medical center, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.

Connecticut Children’s serves as the primary pediatric teaching hospital for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and operates a 187-bed facility.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
